Food Truck Lunch: Brown Sugar, Rosemary & Black Pepper Crusted Bacon BLT
San Francisco is home to some of the most amazing food trucks you’ll ever see. These aren’t your ordinary run of the mill food trucks either; instead, they are practically mini restaurants on wheels that provide fast and affordable meals.
Lately, my favorite food truck is chef Ryan Scott’s 3-SUMS EATS. Ryan, who was previously a line cook at Gary Danko and a contestant of Top Chef, founded the 3-SUMS EATS truck with the idea that every day there would be “a daily choice of 3 freshly prepared sandwiches; a fried item, soup, salad and 3 desserts, all of the highest quality and value.”
While I personally think the best sandwich there (and what I recommend for everyone going there for the first time) is the Corn Flake Crusted Fried Chicken Sandwich (with Old Bay aioli, carrot-cabbage slaw, and pickles), today I opted for the BLT (with cheddar, roasted heirlooms, little gem lettuce, and truffle aioli). As you can see, they didn’t skimp on the bacon.
If you live in San Francisco (or are just visiting), you really owe it to yourself to try this stuff out.
